Spirit Molecule
Spirit Molecule is a series of experiments that imagine a future of biotechnologized mourning as we engineer a lost loved one’s DNA into a psychoactive plant that is then consumed in a final journey of intimacy with the other.
Spirit Molecule I centers on the story of one such individual and consists of a greenhouse of legal plants with psychoactive properties, and an accompanying four-channel video which tells a narrative of love, loss, and bioengineering as a process of grieving.
